Fuzzy Math, European Politics, and The Spending Engine that Could...

If you missed Hannity last night, I very much encourage you to watch this interview with British Member of the European Parliment Daniel Hannan. It hightlights a video of Hannan riding the "Straight Talk Express" and telling Prime Minister Gordon Brown that his spending has got to stop.

One quote is very similar to that of Margaret Thatcher, whom once stated that "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." Mr. Hannan announced to PM Brown that "you have run out of our money."

The same can be said for Barack Obama. The whole time I listened to Parliment Member Hannan, I couldn't help but believe that instead of PM Brown, he were speaking to Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of the criminals in Washington. He conveyed what is on the minds of so many Americans, and in plain English. He didn't beat around to bush. He didn't use wild and impressive metaphors. He simply spoke the truth. The truth is that socialism does not work.

In working at a bank, I see many people have a sign at their desk. It is quite humerous, except that I believe Congress is living by these words: I can't be out of money. I still have checks left.

Congress is continuing to write bad checks and Obama is willingly putting his signature on the line.

What happened to transparency?

Obama has one heck of a calculator, I'll tell you that much. The math is fuzzy at best.

On February 23, 2009, President Obama made the follow promise to the American People:
"I refuse to leave our children with a debt they cannot repay. We cannot and will not sustain deficits like these without end. ... We cannot simply spend as we please."

He also had this say about fiscal responsibility and only spending money that you have:
"This is the rule that families across this country follow every single day, and there's no reason their government shouldn't do the same. You don't pay what you don't have."
He went on to promise to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. The deficit he "inherited" (his favorite one liner), stands at $1.3 trillion.

I'm sorry, here is where my calculator stops working and where Obama's picks up for me.

The United States on January 20, 2009 had negative $1.3 trillion dollars. That is TRILLION with a T.
On February 17, 2009, $787 Billion worth of Generational Theft was signed into law. (Chalk that up to over $1 trillion when you factor in the interest that will be owed).
Shortly thereafter, the $410 billion Omnibus Spending Bill, completely laiden with over 8,000 pork pet projects was signed. This money is to be spent by end of fiscal quarter on September 30, 2009.
Obama is proposing a $3 trillion budget to be spent for the fiscal year of 2010.
Let us now add in the $684 billion that funding the beginning of nationalized healthcare should cost us this year.

I'm sorry. Forgive me. I can't see straight any longer. Like I said, Obama's calculator is better than mine. His can magically cut $1.3 trillion down by $533 billion by 2013 (Lord help us if he is still in office in 2013) while spending like a train barreling down the tracks. I see where his deception lies. He is going to not spend an additional $533 billion on top of all of this. That is what he means by cut back the deficit. If that isn't what he means, then I am at a loss. I don't know what he is going to do.

It certainly isn't going to be examining the pork projects in existance line by line and taking out the ones that don't work. Hell, he just found over 8,000 more to add to the lot! They all aren't "perfect", but it's okay. This was critical for "saving us."

Obama, you are out of OUR money. There isn't any left. It's gone. It isn't coming back. Not if we continue on this self destructive path. Mr. Hannan from the video hit the nail on the head when he stated the following: "It is common sense that when you are in debt, you spend less. Anybody except a politician can see that."

You know that this cannot work. You CHOOSE not to care. You choose to ignore the thousands of brilliant economists that say over and over that you cannot spend your way out of recession. They say that you need to cut spending and cut taxes.

You campaigned on an idiology that you cared what other countries perceived America to be. You cared when other countries viewed us as cold blooded killers. Yet you do not care when other countries want to stop playing in our sandbox. That is going to hurt our economy even more. Other countries don't want to do business with us or lend us more money when we cannot pay back what they already have given to us. That makes this also a threat to our national security. It's like giving a child $5 for the Fair and telling him it has to last all night and five minutes later he comes back asking for more. Congress is spending like a 16 year old girl with her Daddy's gold card and you keep giving them the signature that they need to do it. Here, sign on the dotted line and the money is yours! We'll print more!

Pink is the New Black and Bordering Jumpers are the New Patriots!

I understand pink being just as fashionable as black. I love pink. I wear it frequently. But crime being trendy? Never thought I would see the day, but if Madame Speaker says so, then it must be true!

This week, Pelosi took it upon herself to insult the good, decent, hardworking, law abiding citizens of this country by telling a room full of illegal aliens that:

"You are special people. You're here on a Saturday
night to take responsibility for our country's future.
That makes you very, very patriotic."

Excuse me? THEY are going to take responsibility for our country's future? I am 26 years old. I am fairly certain that I am responsible for this country's future. All of the other AMERICANS getting their feet wet in the work force, fresh out of college, tech school, high school, the military. WE are the future of this country and I am completely outraged that she would claim that a room full of criminals are the future of this country.

Yes, criminals. The last time I checked, crossing this country's border illegally was a crime. Just because you aren't out knocking over 7-11s doesn't mean that you aren't a criminal. I mean, look at Congress. None of them (that I know of) came to this country illegally and I would estimate that nearly 60% of them have committed some sort of treasonous crime against the citizens of this country.

Pelosi also claims that immigration raids are "un-American." What is more un-American than upholding the letter of the law?

How can holding a group of criminals accountable for their actions be "un-American."? I wonder more how these illegals are "patriots" for being at a meeting on a Saturday night? Is it also patriotic that illegal aliens cost the good tax-paying citizens of this country approximately $20 billion a year? That is just the direct cost. That does not include the unemployment benefits and other social programs being used by Americans that lost their jobs to illegals. That would tack on an additional $4.3 billion. Now these figures are according to a study conducted in 1996 by Dr. Donald Huddle, an economist and professor at Rice University in Houston, Texas. These numbers have more than doubled since then.

Wow...if we could recoup that loss maybe we wouldn't need another porkulous bill. (Who am I kidding? We didn't "need" that monstrosity of a spending machine to begin with.)

What I think is un-American is a woman that is a representative of this country.

I think that it is un-American that we have representatives that get re-elected 17 times over that accused our Marines of heinous crimes that they did not committ. I think that it is un-American that we have representatives in the Cabinet that evade taxes and the penalties. I think it is un-American that we have represenatives that employee illegal aliens. It is un-American that we have representatives sleeping with prostitutes and degrading and shaming their families and this country.

There are more of us than there are of them. Most of us are leading good, moral lives. Most of us are family orientated, Christians, and just want a better life for our issue. We want our children and grandchildren to inherit a better and safer world. We cannot do that with our current representatives. We need to start speaking more loudly, and not just with our vote. It starts with the letters, the blogs, and involvement in our communities.

We have one year until the 2010 elections. We need to be absolutely certain that Congress changes. We need representatives that actually represent us, not just with words, but with actions. We need representatives that truely live the values that we believe this country is founded on.

Glenn Beck is onto something with his The 9-12 Project. We were truely a United Nation on 9-12. We loved thy neighbor, we loved our country, and we stood stronger than ever before. We didn't tell illegal aliens that they were the future of this nation. We didn't tell them to disregard the border, to disrespect our law abiding citizens, and to come in and use our resources and strain our economy, bankrupt our hospitals, and kill our citizens.

Don't let Nancy Pelosi get away with this...

If you have not told Madame Speaker what you think of her yet, no time is better than now.

Remember to Mind Your Business!

Video courtesy of my friend and Townhall Member, Lesley.

Hmmm... this is very intriguing. And he managed to accomplish all of this without the assistance of Turbo Tax! (Which by the way I used this year and it worked perfectly! Looks like I won't be getting a government job anytime soon!)

Now, Rep. Rangol thinks that he should mind his "GD business." I'm fairly certain that the United States Constitution is set up so that his Cadillac is our business when our tax dollars are paying for it.

So let me compile a list of reasons why this is our business for Mr. Rangol:
1. It's OUR money.
2. It's OUR money.
3. It's OUR money.
4. It's OUR money.
5. It's OUR money.
6. It's OUR money.
7. It's OUR money.
8. It's OUR money.
9. It's OUR money.
10. It's OUR money.

And just incase English is not his preferred language...
Es nuestro dinero.
E i nostri soldi.
Es ist unser Geld.
Es nosso dinheiro.

The American people are fed up. We are fed up with Schumer telling us that we don't care about our money being spent on government waste. We are tired of our representatives not having to pay their taxes or the penalties that would land us in prison for evading. We are fed up with our Constitution (Is that still holding up these days? I'm uncertain if it is still in play.) is being violated, along with our freedom.

In the Midst of all the Madness...

I have managed to find peace in my life.

I haven't been around a whole lot as of late due to my personal life. Work has been pretty busy and my personal life has taken a turn for the better, despite scattered drama. All in all, my life is starting to look and feel the way I always imagined that it would.

While most of the country is in an absolute panic or searching for answers and help in all of the wrong places, I am starting to find what I need to better my life.

On August 18, I will be a student again, on top of being a full time working, single mother. But it needs to be done. "The time to hesitate is through." Jim Morrison may have never known how right his words would be. My stock at work has plummeted this year from $72 a share to $19, sometimes less if Geithner is on television on that particular day.

On top of preparing to go back to school, Jordan is walking and getting into absolutely everything and it is simply amazing and completely fullfilling watching him grow each day. I am enjoying more time with him lately, and blogging just isn't as important as it was before to help me relax. I do intend to try and dive in a bit more in the coming weeks, because I miss reading all of your blogs and I am starting to get that itch again. I sit on ideas each day that I want to write about and the time just hasn't been there.

I've been trying to get my ducks in a row where my son is concerned. I now have primary legal and physical custody and on April 7, my son's name change will be completed (his last name will now match mine). I also have a child support hearing coming up and I am not looking forward to it. I sometimes think that life would be easier if I just let it go, but then I bring myself down off of my "I can do it alone" cloud and realize that it is not just about me. It is about what Jordan deserves and he deserves that money. It is about his father accepting SOME sort of responsibility for the life he helped to create.

Fathers need to be held accountable and I simply cannot let him off the hook. He needs to man up and help me pay for this completely amazing, loving, and intelligent child's life. He doesn't need to see him, but Jordan deserves that money that can be put into savings for his future, no matter what the amount may be.

And then there is my new dating life. I met a guy unexpectedly and neither of us really expected much from one another going in. But it is turning into something incredible and he is turning out to be the person I always imagined myself with. We want the same things, we have the same beliefs, and above all things, he treats both me and my son the way we ought to be treated. He has a heart unlike any other man I have ever met and I am enjoying our time together immensely.

I also had a job offer that I believe I am going to take. Same company, but better pay and work that is much more interesting to me. I believe I am going to accept the offer this week.

So that is where I am now. The past two months have truely been a period of growth and I believe I may have found some new topics to blog about in the coming weeks if time allows.

I hope everyone is doing well and that you are all holding up! I still spend a lot of time watching and reading the news, just not as much time as I did being able to report my opinions on it! (Lots of DVRing lately!)
